Ayan Zhademov’s girlfriend was too nervous to write her exams – so the smitten 20-year-old decided to do the test for her, wearing a black wig, grey skirt and white blouse.
Exam invigilators in Zhetisai in south Kazakhstan only realised that Ayan was male when they heard his deep voice.
