This is a sad story showing how poverty can lead to true desperate measures.
The Indian government offered students from lower-caste families in the region of Bihar a reward of 10 000 rupees (almost R2 000). For this they had to get about half the questions right on their standardised tests.
The madness in the video above was the result – scores of parents scaled the walls to hand test answers to their children.
And there wasn’t a happy ending to this as it caused 600 students to be expelled from the school.
