During the festive season we spend a lot of time with family. Some close, some distant… some very distant! Most of us head to ’emakhaya’ and spend time in the village, away from wifi and Uber. This means slaughtering our food, managing with minimal electricity, and long drops as toilets. This is a complete juxtaposition to the modern life we’ve become accustomed to. Have we lost our culture or is this all a part of Mandela’s dream?
