In most countries, if a citizen is arrested abroad, they can be transferred to a prison in their own country to serve part of their sentence. South Africa is one of the few countries that does not have Prison Exchange Agreements. We talk to people and family members who have been on the inside as drug decoys, one of whom was sentenced to death and forced to give up her daughter.
