Congratulations to ProVerb on the launch of his new album – The Read Tape. The rapper and Idols Producer/Presenter, real name Tebogo Thekisho, hosted the launch at the Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City on 3 March 2014 as he celebrated ten years since the release of his first studio album, now celebrating the launch of his 5th studio album, The Read Tape.

The performances of the night included some of Proverbs popular hits including ‘Proverbs Manifest’, ‘Blessed & Highly Favoured’ and ‘My Day Will Come, as well as the likes of RJ Benjamin, The Soil, Reason, Ziyon and Kabomo who joined him on stage for various collaborations. As if that wasn’t enough, the audience was treated to an exclusive screening of the ‘Something New’ music video, the first single off his latest CD, as the evening rounded off to an end.

Between ProVerb dedicating a song to all of the women in his life, as well as his baby sister performing with him on stage, our personal favourite moment from the night had to be ProVerb’s simple message to his supporters: “I’d like to take this opportunity to say that you’ve changed my life. To you, it’s just a RSVP or buying an album. But to me – it’s changing my life.”

Thank you for the allowing us to be part of this special milestone, Pro – all the best for the next 10 years!
