With 15 years’ experience in the South African publishing industry, Lerato Tshabalala has moved between newspapers and magazines in the country (including Oprah (SA) and Marie Claire (SA) as a senior writer). Her first management position was at the age of 22 as a women’s editor for Drum magazine. Since then she has moved up the management ranks at different companies, including The Sunday Times. In 2013 she was voted by the Mail & Guardian newspaper as one of the 200 Young People to watch in the Media category. Lerato will be opening a media business that will focus on custom/trade magazines initially and progress to also providing digital solutions for companies.
