Senegalese-born British businesswoman Mariéme Jamme has been named on the Powerlist 2017 of Britain’s 100 most influential people of African and African Caribbean Heritage because of her ground-breaking work in the technology and coding space. Her latest venture – iamtheCODE – mobilises governments, businesses and investors in supporting young women and girls in STEAMD (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics and design) the opportunity for education and aims to achieve a giant global goal of one million women and girl coders by 2030.
