Locnville is a New York-born South Africa-raised electro pop music duo consisting of twin brothers Andrew and Brian Chaplin. The popular duo grew up in Cape Town and began making music at a young age. In 2009, Locnville released their debut album “Sun in My Pocket,” which quickly became a hit in South Africa and went on to achieve multi-platinum status. The album featured the popular singles “Sun in My Pocket” and “Love Rush.” Since then, Locnville has released several more successful albums and singles, including “Stars Above You,” “I Can’t Sleep,” and “Grapevine.” They’ve also toured extensively throughout South Africa and have gained a large following in other countries too. Known for their unique blend of pop, hip-hop, and electronic music, Locnville has been recognised with several awards and nominations, including MTV Africa Music Awards and South African Music Awards.

Founder and President of CliffCentral.com, host of “The Gareth Cliff Show” and former South African Idols judge; Gareth Cliff is one of South African radio’s most prominent personalities.

Gareth has won numerous awards over the years for best radio and television personality and presenter and regularly hosts events both as an MC, speaker and a conference facilitator. He presented a 2015 TEDx Talk at London Business School on mobile technology and the changes it is bringing to Africa, as well as being a panelist at SXSW in Austin Texas in March 2017, and at the Deutsche Welle Global Media Conference in Bonn, Germany in June 2017. He has also written two books, “Gareth Cliff on Everything” and “Cliffhanger” – as well as writing columns for several magazines and newspapers over the years.

Beyond the public eye, Gareth has demonstrated his commitment to his audience and passion about South Africa by generously giving of his time to causes that are close to his heart. He is the ambassador of several education initiatives and is the patron for Headway Gauteng.

Ross Learmonth

Ross Learmonth is an accomplished songwriter and vocalist with over 20 years experience on the local and international touring circuit. Ross was the songwriter and frontman of South Africa’s most iconic rock band, Prime Circle, until 2023. After releasing 8 albums, most of which reached gold or platinum sales status, Ross is no stranger to success. In 2021 he started experimenting with his solo sound, releasing his first solo album, “Carousel” in 2023.

Vin Deysel

DJ, producer and sound engineer – Vin Deysel has been in the music industry since he could hold a pair of headphones, and is still as crazy about music today as he was back then!

Growing up, Vin preferred to spend his free time helping out with the family music business and, as a teenager, DJing at clubs and other events. After running the production department at a community radio station, he took on the role of head sound engineer for SAB’s Gig Rig, engineering for some of SA’s biggest bands.

From there he moved on to 947 and soon began making mixes for Alex Jay’s ‘Six in the Mix’ show. Becoming a great hit, Vin’s mixes sparked the idea for a Saturday night party show – 94 Hits in Row, which was compiled and mixed by Vin, and broadcast on 947 and 94.5 Kfm in the Cape. The release of his first 94 Hits in a Row Volume 1 CD was a huge success, hitting gold in just a few weeks. Due to the success of the 94 Hits in a Row series, another 3 volumes were released – all hitting Gold Status. Vin also has a weekly mix on 947 on the 947 Mix at 6 with Fresh on 947 every Monday just after 6pm.

Vin now produces the 947 BlocParty Part 2 Shows on a Friday 10pm-midnight and Saturday 9pm-midnight, where he also has a guest mix slot

A talented remixer, Vin has worked with various South African artists, remixing tracks for Locnville, Flash Republic and Zebra & Giraffe, to name just a few.

Mixing and mastering the Ministry of Sound albums in SA was a real honour for Vin, and he has also had a lot of fun working on many other CD launches in the country, totaling to over 35 albums.
