Locnville is a New York-born South Africa-raised electro pop music duo consisting of twin brothers Andrew and Brian Chaplin. The popular duo grew up in Cape Town and began making music at a young age. In 2009, Locnville released their debut album “Sun in My Pocket,” which quickly became a hit in South Africa and went on to achieve multi-platinum status. The album featured the popular singles “Sun in My Pocket” and “Love Rush.” Since then, Locnville has released several more successful albums and singles, including “Stars Above You,” “I Can’t Sleep,” and “Grapevine.” They’ve also toured extensively throughout South Africa and have gained a large following in other countries too. Known for their unique blend of pop, hip-hop, and electronic music, Locnville has been recognised with several awards and nominations, including MTV Africa Music Awards and South African Music Awards.

Gareth cliff
Founder and President of CliffCentral.com, host of “The Gareth Cliff Show” and former South African Idols judge; Gareth Cliff is one of South African radio’s most prominent personalities.
Gareth has won numerous awards over the years for best radio and television personality and presenter and regularly hosts events both as an MC, speaker and a conference facilitator. He presented a 2015 TEDx Talk at London Business School on mobile technology and the changes it is bringing to Africa, as well as being a panelist at SXSW in Austin Texas in March 2017, and at the Deutsche Welle Global Media Conference in Bonn, Germany in June 2017. He has also written two books, “Gareth Cliff on Everything” and “Cliffhanger” – as well as writing columns for several magazines and newspapers over the years.
Beyond the public eye, Gareth has demonstrated his commitment to his audience and passion about South Africa by generously giving of his time to causes that are close to his heart. He is the ambassador of several education initiatives and is the patron for Headway Gauteng.

Frank Kadillac and Adrian Morris became fast friends after Kadillac moved to Halifax, Canada and the two quickly started making music together as Neon Dreams. In the years that have followed, the duo has garnered Gold (and now Platinum) singles; accumulated over 50 million streams; played sold-out international shows after their single “Life Without Fantasies” became a sensation across South Africa, and won numerous Canadian awards—including a coveted JUNO. But the project has always meant so much more to Kadillac than accolades, and that was affirmed during his time in South Africa between the music community and meditation retreats that have inspired an ongoing creative evolution. Kadillac’s continuous messages of positivity can be traced throughout their catalogue as uplifting songs about not fitting in and overcoming adversity are peppered throughout.

The Parlotones are a South African rock band formed in Johannesburg in 1998, consisting of Kahn Morbee (lead vocals, guitar), Paul Hodgson (lead guitar), Glen Hodgson (bass guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), and Neil Pauw (drums). Known for their distinctive sound that blends alternative rock, indie, and pop influences, the band quickly gained popularity in South Africa and beyond.
In 2005, The Parlotones released their breakthrough album “Radiocontrolledrobot,” which featured the hit single “Beautiful.” The success continued with their 2007 album “A World Next Door to Yours,” producing popular tracks like “Push Me to the Floor” and “Giant Mistake.” Their 2009 album “Stardust Galaxies” further cemented their status in the music industry, including hits such as “Should We Fight Back” and “Life Design.”
The Parlotones have released several more albums, including “Journey Through the Shadows” (2012) and “Stand Like Giants” (2013). They have toured extensively across South Africa, the United States, Europe, and Asia, performing at major events like the FIFA World Cup Kick-off Concert in 2010 and opening for Coldplay.
Recognised for their unique sound and energetic live performances, The Parlotones have received numerous awards, including South African Music Awards and MTV Africa Music Awards. Their commitment to social and environmental causes has also earned them respect and admiration beyond their musical achievements.

Ross Learmonth
Ross Learmonth is an accomplished songwriter and vocalist with over 20 years experience on the local and international touring circuit. Ross was the songwriter and frontman of South Africa’s most iconic rock band, Prime Circle, until 2023. After releasing 8 albums, most of which reached gold or platinum sales status, Ross is no stranger to success. In 2021 he started experimenting with his solo sound, releasing his first solo album, “Carousel” in 2023.
Creative exploration and several introspective journeys as an artist, has now led Ross to a pivotal point in his impressive career. The articulation of what this talented songwriter and vocalist defines as his artistic purpose has become clear. Ross subsequently introduces a rebrand with the launch of his latest single, “Because of You.”
“Sometimes people get so caught up in fighting their demons and personal battles, that they get lost and overwhelmed and find it difficult to break through and shed the light. This song is from the perspective of the other side, trying to break through and show someone their true value.”
“Because of You” showcases Ross’s unmistakable voice in a stripped and original way, which is what you can continue to expect from the singer.

WARRAS THE SHADY LURKER
Warrick Stock, also known as the Shady Lurker or DJ Warras, is a multi-faceted talent in the South African entertainment industry, known for his work as a DJ, radio host, and television presenter. With a career spanning over a decade, DJ Warras has established himself as a prominent figure in the country’s music and broadcasting scenes.
DJ Warras began his journey in the entertainment industry in the early 2000s, quickly gaining a reputation for his energetic DJ sets and charismatic presence. His unique blend of hip-hop, house, and urban music has made him a favorite among club-goers and music enthusiasts alike. Known for his ability to keep the dancefloor alive, DJ Warras has performed at some of South Africa’s most renowned clubs and music festivals, earning him a loyal following.
In addition to his success as a DJ, Warrick Stock’s versatility and talent have also shone through in his work as a radio and television host. He made a significant impact as a co-host on the popular radio show “The Fresh Drive” on 5FM, where his engaging personality and quick wit endeared him to listeners across the nation. His dynamic presence on the airwaves earned him the nickname “Shady Lurker,” reflecting his intriguing and slightly mysterious on-air persona.

As a presenter on shows like SABC 1’s Live Amp, he brought his infectious energy and deep passion for music to a broader audience. His work on Live Amp in particular showcased his ability to connect with viewers, presenting the latest music trends and interviewing some of the biggest names in the industry.

Vin Deysel
DJ, producer and sound engineer – Vin Deysel has been in the music industry since he could hold a pair of headphones, and is still as crazy about music today as he was back then!
Growing up, Vin preferred to spend his free time helping out with the family music business and, as a teenager, DJing at clubs and other events. After running the production department at a community radio station, he took on the role of head sound engineer for SAB’s Gig Rig, engineering for some of SA’s biggest bands.
From there he moved on to 947 and soon began making mixes for Alex Jay’s ‘Six in the Mix’ show. Becoming a great hit, Vin’s mixes sparked the idea for a Saturday night party show – 94 Hits in Row, which was compiled and mixed by Vin, and broadcast on 947 and 94.5 Kfm in the Cape. The release of his first 94 Hits in a Row Volume 1 CD was a huge success, hitting gold in just a few weeks. Due to the success of the 94 Hits in a Row series, another 3 volumes were released – all hitting Gold Status. Vin also has a weekly mix on 947 on the 947 Mix at 6 with Fresh on 947 every Monday just after 6pm.
Vin now produces the 947 BlocParty Part 2 Shows on a Friday 10pm-midnight and Saturday 9pm-midnight, where he also has a guest mix slot
A talented remixer, Vin has worked with various South African artists, remixing tracks for Locnville, Flash Republic and Zebra & Giraffe, to name just a few.
Mixing and mastering the Ministry of Sound albums in SA was a real honour for Vin, and he has also had a lot of fun working on many other CD launches in the country, totaling to over 35 albums.
